Teach a LIFT-VA Cohort. Pass It On.
Share your bench skills with the next generation of life sciences professionals. Complete this form to be considered as a cohort instructor.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The LIFT-VA Cohort Instructor pathway is designed for professionals, educators, and advanced trainees who are ready to lead the future of life science workforce training.
As a Cohort Instructor, you won’t just teach. You will mentor, guide, and shape real-world laboratory experiences for students moving through the LIFT-VA pipeline, from early exposure to career readiness.
This is where workforce development becomes workforce leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Cohort Instructors play a hands-on role in delivering the LIFT-VA experience:
-
Lead small-group laboratory instruction and applied learning sessions
-
Mentor students through real-world experiments and research activities
-
Support skill development in biotechnology, genomics, and emerging technologies
-
Reinforce safety, protocol adherence, and scientific integrity in lab environments
-
Collaborate with program leadership and scientist-mentors
-
Help assess student progress and readiness for next-stage opportunities
This is not theoretical instruction—it is science in motion, inside a real lab environment.
