This form is for early-career professionals with a foundation in the life sciences, including recent post-doctoral fellows, research associates, and new-to-industry biotech professionals.

LIFT-VA helps students explore science, build confidence, and engage with future-focused opportunities in life sciences, STEMM, and workforce readiness.
 

2026 Fall Timeline

  • Applications Open: July 29 – August 14 

  • Interviews: August 15 – August 20 

  • Notifications: August 21 - August 31 

  • Internal Preparation/Instructor Training  - September 1 - September 6

  • Program Instruction: September 21 - November 21

  • Saturday In-person Lab
    Morning Session - 9:00am-Noon
    Afternoon Session - 11:30am-2:30pm 
    and
    Weekday Virtual Sessions
    Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
    6:00pm-8:00pm
